GENZYME – LEMTRADA

Examples of Screen layouts for Genzyme Lemtrada Sales Reps

Video: Marketing Promo Video for Pharm Sales

Summary

This project was an interactive multimedia tablet application developed to onboard and support sales representatives at Sanofi Genzyme around Lemtrada, a treatment for multiple sclerosis. The goal was straightforward in theory and tricky in practice: enable reps to have credible, informed conversations with physicians and confidently answer questions when Lemtrada is being considered as a treatment option.

The experience blended structured learning, interactive exploration, and integrated video to support both initial education and real-world sales conversations. Rather than dumping dense clinical data onto a tablet and hoping for the best, the design focused on clarity, pacing, and visual hierarchy. The intent was to help reps understand what matters, when it matters, and how to talk about it without flipping through slides like they’re searching for a lost contact lens.

I was brought on as a contractor by Custom Learning Designs (CLD) to define the overall look and feel of the application, design layouts for interactive elements, and establish how green screen video content would live inside the experience. In parallel, I also designed and produced a marketing video used to introduce the tool to the Genzyme sales organization.

Solution

The solution centered on creating a clean, modern, tablet-first visual system that balanced medical credibility with usability. Layouts were intentionally designed to support both guided presentations and quick reference scenarios, because sales conversations rarely wait patiently for you to find slide 47.

Interactive elements were visually structured to reinforce key talking points without overwhelming the user. Green screen videos were thoughtfully integrated so subject matter experts felt like part of the experience, not a pop-up window from a different decade. Every design decision was made to support confidence, clarity, and flow — all critical when the audience includes physicians who have exactly zero time for awkward interfaces.

The companion marketing video used the same visual language to introduce the application, clearly showing reps how the tool could support compliant, meaningful conversations with doctors. Together, the application and video functioned as a unified system rather than a “training thing” and a “marketing thing” that never speak again.

My Role

As a contractor for CLD, I was responsible for the creative direction and visual design of the Lemtrada interactive sales experience.

My responsibilities included:

  • Defining the overall look and feel of the tablet application

  • Designing screen layouts and interaction patterns for interactive elements

  • Establishing the visual approach for green screen video integration, including framing, composition, and on-screen context

  • Creating a marketing video used to introduce the experience to the Genzyme sales team

I worked closely with CLD and stakeholders to ensure the experience met pharmaceutical industry standards for accuracy, professionalism, and compliance, while still feeling modern and approachable. In other words, I helped make sure the experience felt confident and credible, not like a PDF that accidentally learned how to swipe.
